In addition, there will be a Most Authentic Kitty Litter Cake Competition. All Entries in the *Official Kitty Litter Cake Competition will be raffled off after judging. For the basic recipe and tips for preparing your own Kitty Litter Cake, click here: The REAL Martha Judging in all categories will be by special guest experts appointed by fair organizers--also by "Popular Vote" (by the people, ballot box stuffing at $1 per ticket ENCOURAGED - watch for more details! *The participation fee for the Kitty Litter Cake Competition is $3.00. Due to health department regulations, we will not be able to offer samples of bake sale goodies as originally planned. However, we believe each volunteer is way overdue proper recognition for their efforts. Their combined dedication raises thousand of dollars every year. Write-in votes for Best Baker will be accepted when accompanied by BRIBES donated in the form of cash or checks made out to individually designated nonprofit animal welfare groups. Rescue Success Stories Please send us the story (and a good photo) of your rescued furkid. We are putting together a booklet that will be sold to help more homeless animals. Waiver In consideration of accepting my entry, I hereby for myself, my heirs, executors and administrators assume any and all risk which may be associated with the Boomer Times Furkid Funfair (parade/costume contest/talent show contest/vendor display). I waive and release any and all rights and claims of any nature for damages which I may have against the organizers, participants, and all others connected with the event, their representatives, successors and assigns for any and all injuries or damages suffered by me, my children if any, or my pet as a result of taking part in the event or related activities. I also attest my pet is in good health and up to date on immunizations, and that my pet and I are physically fit to participate. I am aware that other animals, including dogs and horses, will be present at this event. I further grant permission for use of photos of me or my pet for publicity purposes. Represented _______________________________________ For Profit Vendor _________ Not for Profit Vendor _________ (check one) * if "not-for-profit" must provide copy of 501 (c) or not-for-profit status proof* All "for profit" vendors are required to submit payment of $60 (payment must be enclosed and received no later than October 10, 2004, to reserve space). Payment is broken down as follows: $50 is a donation to Westie Rescue and St. Charles Humane Society and $10 for vendor license fee required by city of St. Charles. Payment may be cash or check only, with checks made out to "FurKid FunFair" and mailed to Boomer Times, 1624 Lynncove Ln. Charles, MO 63303. Vendor spaces are reserved on a "first come, first served" basis. This benefit is being promoted by BOOMER TIMES--but MAIN PROCEEDS will equally benefit Westie Rescue of Missouri and the St. Charles Humane Society (SCHS is the ONLY non-euthanizing shelter in the area). All other nonprofit groups will be responsible for their own monies. Each vendor will be allowed a 10 x 10 space (rescue groups will be allotted a 10 x 20 space) on blacktop for their display and will be responsible for their own set-up, teardown and cleanup. Displays in questionable taste will be asked to vacate the premises. Vendors will provide their own set-up materials as follows: EZ UP or similar style canopy (no ground stakes) if needed; Tables; Chairs; advertising or display information. Please sign a copy of the Waiver (above) as well. |
